ABOUT HGK:
Heaven's Gate Kennel is a HOBBY kennel located in the state of Maine. Our dogs are primarily kept as pets. We participate in
conformation shows when we can. We have also dabbled in training for other events as well. HGK was established in 2001, and has
grown considerably in the quality of dog. Many of our offspring are ADBA or UKC pointed in conformation, and some have
conformation or weight pull titles.
We believe in breeding well rounded APBTs and believe they should fit their breed standard, breed standards were put in place for a
reason! We are dedicated to improving the image of the Pit Bull! The media combined with irresponsible owners have destroyed the
image of this wonderful breed of dog!
We have dogs from Redboy/Jocko, Jeep, Wildside, and Old Family Red Nose lines, the Old Family Rednose crosses were our initial
dogs, and we have incorporated some of this blood into our current breeding program.
We also have AmStaffs from Razor's Edge (older dogs only), Gaff, and Tonkawa, our female Rain is UKC pointed
We also own 3 beautiful Chinese Cresteds, we will be doing a couple of breedings with them, they are great dogs and bred real well.
These dogs are awesome companions and they are rough and tumble (they are built delicately though) and love to horse around and
play. They are great companions and full of personality.
2009 is HGK's last year as a breeding kennel for the next couple of years or so, we are planning to move, to a place more
accommodating to our dogs, where we will be closer to vets, groomers, and dog shows! We want our dogs to flourish and be a shining
example of the American Pit Bull Terrier and the wonderful dogs they can be!
HEAVEN'S GATE KENNEL IS 100% OPPOSED TO PUPPY MILLS! WE NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL BUY FROM OR
SELL TO PUPPY MILLS OR PET STORES!! OUR DOGS MEAN MORE TO US THEN MONEY DOES!
HGK BELIEVES THERE ARE 2 PLACES THAT PEOPLE SHOULD GO TO WHEN LOOKING FOR A CANINE OR FELINE COMPANION
